A Smiths Falls Police cruiser was left heavily damaged after suspects rammed it while fleeing a traffic stop.
Police say on June 20th a driver reversed into the cruiser, then took off—also hitting a nearby fence.
They were able to identify the suspect and issued an arrest warrant.
Three days later, officers spotted 28-year-old Dale Scott in town. He again tried to flee, running inside a nearby residence, but was arrested without further trouble.
Scott faces 16 charges including assault a peace officer with a weapon and seven counts of operation while prohibited.
