The provincial government have launched Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hubs across Ontario including in Smiths Falls, set to open December 8th.
Police Chief Jodi Empey has met with the experts running hub and called them incredibly smart and put her full support behind the site, while noting the location at 9 Armstrong Drive is perfectly safe.
Empey is trying to dispel common questions she’s being asked by the public.
The hubs offer addictions treatment, counselling and supportive housing services.
