Police have laid charges in two separate intimate-partner violence investigations reported four days apart.
Smiths Falls Police say they were called to a home on November 20 after receiving a 9-1-1 report of a dispute in progress. Officers began an investigation and arrested a 27-year-old woman from Smiths Falls. She is charged with assault and uttering threats and was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The incident followed an earlier 9-1-1 call on November 16, when officers responded to another intimate-partner violence dispute. Police say a 21-year-old woman was taken into custody without incident. She is charged with one count of uttering threats and was also held in custody for a bail court appearance.
Police did not release further details on either case.news1 Moved File from Markets\ON East\Holding to Markets\ON East\Daily Stories @ 11/28/25 03:10 PM
