A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of the 192-bed, G. Tackaberry and Family Home on County Road 42 in Athens on Wednesday afternoon.
The man behind it all, George Tackaberry said it means everything to him and his family.

Brockville General Hospital President and CEO, Julie Caffin said it creates more options locally.
Corinna Smith-Gatke, Warden for the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville said it was a monumental day for the Counties.
The event featured guided tours, speeches and a reception following the outdoor ceremony. Local dignitaries, elected officials, project members and senior county staff in attendance.
