Danny Michel performs live tonight at 7:30 p.m. as part of a concert presented by The Pews. The show takes place at 100 St. Lawrence St. in Merrickville. Tickets are $40 plus fees in advance or $50 at the door.
The Toledo Legion is hosting a Friday night wings fundraiser from 3 to 7 p.m. at 320 County Road 8, Toledo. Dine in or takeout. Phone orders and reservations open at noon. Call 613-275-2400. Proceeds support local veterans and community programs and services in Toledo.
The Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club hosts an Olympics watch party tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 13 Old Slys Rd. Admission is $5. Food and a cash bar will be available. Organizers invite residents to cheer on athletes and enjoy a fun community atmosphere together locally.
The third annual Perth Children’s House Chili Fest takes place tomorrow at the Perth Legion. The community fundraiser features a chili tasting contest, voting, raffles, and prizes, with proceeds supporting the local Montessori school. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with voting ending at 2 p.m.
Los Desperados plays Farrell Hall in Perth tomorrow. Canada’s premier tribute to the Eagles brings back the harmonies, the lyrics, the California sound that soared through the 70s . Doors open at 7:00, show at 8:00 Tickets at tickets please dot ca. An Age of Majority event.
The WDMH Foundation hosts Sapphires and Snowflakes tomorrow at Matilda Hall in Dixon’s Corners. The winter-themed fundraiser supports the Dundas Manor redevelopment. The evening includes cocktails, live entertainment, raffles, auctions, and dancing. Tickets are $119.
Scottish Country Dancers meet every Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at McMartin House, 125 Gore Street East in Perth. Led by experienced instructor Simone, the group welcomes new dancers of all levels. Dancing is done in soft shoes to lively jigs, reels, and traditional music.

In the CCHL: The Smiths Falls Bears welcome Pembroke tonight in the first half of a home-and-home series that wraps up Sunday in Pembroke.
The Carleton Place Canadians are off until Sunday, when they play in Kemptville.
In the EOJHL, The Smiths Falls Jr. Bears are the lone local club off to the playoffs, while Perth and Carleton Place have been eliminated.
