A second person has been arrested in connection with the death of an Ottawa man in Perth, while police continue to search for two suspects wanted for second-degree murder.
The Lanark County OPP says 32-year-old Lyna Du of Ottawa has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder following an investigation that included a search warrant executed at a rural property near Terrace, B.C. Police, assisted by the RCMP, seized two firearms during the search.
The charge stems from the death of 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards of Ottawa. Officers were called to Last Duel Park on April 12, where Richards was found with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital and later died.
A 46-year-old Perth resident was previously charged with conspiracy to commit murder in May.
Police have also issued warrants for 34-year-old Joseph Madore and 28-year-old Brayton Kennedy, both of Ottawa, who are wanted for second-degree murder. Investigators believe Madore may be camping in a rural area of British Columbia, while Kennedy’s whereabouts are unknown.
Police are warning the public not to approach either man and to contact authorities immediately with any information on their location.
Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact the Lanark County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
