Four people are facing drug trafficking charges after an Ontario Provincial Police investigation in Lanark County.
The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit says officers began investigating suspected cocaine trafficking from a residence and vehicle in the spring of 2026.
On Friday, July 3, officers executed a search warrant at a residence shortly after 6:15 a.m. and stopped a vehicle on Highway 7 just after 8 a.m. Four people were arrested after police say they seized suspected cocaine, cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.
Charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking are 27-year-old Tamika Crabtree of Mississippi Mills, 51-year-old Robert Cummings of Mississippi Mills Township, 44-year-old Christopher Strickley of Mississippi Mills Township and 34-year-old Kayla Plant of Mississippi Mills Township.
Cummings and Strickley were released following bail hearings and are scheduled to appear in court in Perth on July 27. Crabtree and Plant are scheduled to appear in Brockville court on Aug. 17.
The charges have not been proven in court.
