John Fournier’s farming story came full circle when he and his wife, Colleen, attended an auction hoping to buy equipment and instead purchased his great-grandmother’s farm near Maberly.
Today, the couple proudly co-owns and operates River House Vineyard and Winery on 100 acres along the Tay River.
The family connection runs through the business: their two daughters work in the restaurant, while their son works in the kitchen. Fournier also lives nearby on his grandfather’s farm.
Surrounded by memories of great-aunts, great-uncles, his grandmother and father, he has helped create a new family chapter rooted in generations of local history.
