A Smiths Falls man is facing charges after police investigated a collision near Beckwith and Elmsley streets.
Smiths Falls police said officers received a report about the crash on July 7 and attended the scene.
During the investigation, police determined that one of the drivers was allegedly breaching court-ordered probation conditions.
Officers also reported finding a large knife under the driver’s seat. Police said the weapon was prohibited under the person’s court conditions.
Kale Love, 37, of Smiths Falls was arrested at the scene without incident.
Love has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and an additional provincial offence under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police said Love was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The charges have not been proven in court.
