Communities across the region came together Wednesday to make Tim Hortons Camp Day another success.
Residents in Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place and other communities throughout the myFM and WOW FM listening area stopped by their local Tim Hortons restaurants to purchase coffee and as Manager Brenda Presley tells us, support a good cause.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds from every hot coffee and iced coffee sold on Camp Day were donated to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Customers also supportted the campaign by purchasing special Camp Day items or making donations inside participating restaurants.
The annual fundraiser helps young people from underserved communities take part in camp programs they may not otherwise be able to attend.
Crew member Isaac Botham says it’s one of his favourite days of the year.
The camps provide opportunities for youth to spend time outdoors, meet new friends and develop skills that can help build confidence, independence and leadership.
Local restaurants welcomed a steady stream of customers throughout the day, with staff members and volunteers helping create a fun and positive atmosphere, like these two in Carleton Place.

For many customers, supporting the campaign was as easy as picking up their regular morning coffee or cooling down with an iced coffee during the afternoon.
Camp Day has become an annual tradition for Tim Hortons customers and employees across Canada.
Tim Hortons says Camp Day has raised more than $275 million since becoming a nationwide Canadian fundraiser in 1991.
The event’s roots go back to 1987, when 58 Tim Hortons restaurant owners in Atlantic Canada donated a full day’s sales to help establish a children’s camp in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. The campaign expanded across Canada four years later and became what is now known as Camp Day.
The 2025 Camp Day campaign raised about $13 million.
