Pop-Up Clog Dancing 101
The Eastern Ontario Clogging Association hosts a free beginner clog dancing session at Lower Reach Park from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Open to ages 8 to 108, the program welcomes participants of all experience levels.
Scottish Country Dancing
Scottish Country Dancers meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at McMartin House. New dancers are welcome to learn traditional jigs and reels in a friendly setting.

Smiths Falls Pride, in partnership with SIP Bistro, hosts a community dinner at 6 p.m. in Davidson’s Courtyard. The event is designed to bring people together ahead of Pride weekend.

Smiths Falls Pride Parade and Festival
Downtown Smiths Falls and Centennial Park host the annual Pride Parade and Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year’s theme is Small Town Glow, Big Pride. The event features live entertainment, vendors, food and family-friendly activities celebrating inclusion and community.
After Glow
Smiths Falls Pride and DE Productions present After Glow at the Smiths Falls Legion. Doors open at 8 p.m. for this 19-plus drag show and dance featuring performers from across the region.
Perth Lions Garlic Festival
The 26th Annual Perth Lions Garlic Festival takes place Aug. 8 and 9 at the Perth Fairgrounds. Enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations, a refreshment tent, local vendors and plenty of garlic-inspired food and treats.
Mississippi Valley Textile Museum Exhibition Opening
The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum hosts a vernissage at 1 p.m. celebrating two new exhibitions: Unfinished Journey: Memory, Identity, & Family by Anne Kelly and Queer Newfoundland Hockey League by Lucas Morneau. Both exhibitions explore themes of identity, memory and community and run through Sept. 20, 2026.
