PEP Seniors Therapeutic Centre hosts a Caregiver Chat on anticipatory grief from 2 to 4 p.m. in Perth. Grieving the Person Who Once Was will be led by Helene Arts, Grief and Bereavement Coordinator with Hospice Hub. Registration is required.

Mindfulness for Body and Earth Workshop
Tay Valley Township hosts a morning workshop at Forest Trail Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will explore mindfulness and nature through guided activities designed to encourage self-discovery and a deeper connection with the natural environment. A rain date is scheduled for Aug. 29.
Shop and Sketch Saturday
Shop and Sketch takes place from noon to 3 p.m. at 170 Bridge Street in Carleton Place. Visitors can have a caricature drawn for free on a first-come, first-served basis while exploring local shops and enjoying a creative afternoon downtown.
Carleton Place Porchfest
Carleton Place Porchfest returns from 1 to 4 p.m., with free live music performed on porches, lawns and driveways throughout the community. Young musicians and youth entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate, and donations to the Lanark County Food Bank are welcomed.
