An Ottawa man is facing several charges after an unplanned visit to a home in Almonte.
The man allegeldly crashed his vehicle into the porch on Monday evening.
Lanark County OPP say officers were called to Martin Street South in Mississippi Mills shortly before 7 p.m. on Aug. 17.
Police say the driver left the scene on foot after the vehicle struck the residence.
Before officers arrived, a second call came in about a man near the hospital who was allegedly trying to access another vehicle. Police say he then fled on foot again.
Officers located and arrested the man a short distance away and determined he was the driver involved in the original collision.
The accused was taken to hospital with minor injuries suffered in the crash.
Nathan Oram, 25, of Ottawa, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault and mischief under $5,000.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 16.
OPP are asking anyone with information, dashcam footage or security video to contact Lanark County OPP and reference incident E261190352.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
