An 18-year-old man has been charged following an intimate partner violence investigation in Smiths Falls.
The Smiths Falls Police Service received a report of an intimate partner violence incident on Aug. 21, 2026.
Police say officers arrived at the scene within five minutes of receiving the call and immediately began an investigation.
As a result, the 18-year-old male has been charged with three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Police say the accused was held in custody pending a scheduled bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
