A 35-year-old Carleton Place man is facing two charges following a Lanark County OPP sexual assault investigation.
Police say the investigation began Sunday, Sept. 6, after officers received allegations of sexual assault.
The man has been charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 and sexual interference.
He was released from custody and is expected to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
OPP say the accused’s name will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Police also reminded survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence that support is available.
