In her platorm economic prosperity with purpose is built on three pillars. 1. Growing Perth means supporting local businesses, attracting responsible investment and developing additional revenue sources so property taxpayers do not carry the entire burden. 2. Caring for people means improving transportation, expanding childcare opportunities and strengthening services. 3. Planning for tomorrow means reviewing the Town’s Asset Management Plan and guiding responsible growth and infrastructure investment through the twin lenses of fiscal responsibility and climate resilience.
McRae says she understands that vision requires execution. As a full-time mayor, she will be present, accessible, and accountable. Her leadership approach—listen, collaborate, and act—will bring council, staff, residents, businesses, and partners together to turn priorities into practical plans and measurable results. McRae says her career and life experiences bring the most relevant skills to the position of mayor.
She reports that she brings 35 years of diverse experience across business, healthcare, education, municipal recreation, and community service, and eight years of elected experience as a school board trustee and Perth councillor. As a trustee, she helped oversee a budget exceeding $400 million. Her proven record of leadership and partnership gives Perth a credible path from vision to lasting prosperity.
