A routine traffic stop in Smiths Falls has resulted in multiple charges against a 61-year-old woman.
Members of the Smiths Falls Police Service were conducting proactive patrols on Aug. 19, 2026, when they stopped a vehicle.
During the investigation, officers determined the female driver was allegedly breaching multiple court-imposed conditions.
Danielle Proulx, 61, of Smiths Falls, has been charged with:
Failure to comply with an undertaking, three counts
Possession of a Schedule I substance, two counts
Possession of property obtained by crime, one count
Police say Proulx was held in custody pending a scheduled bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
