Smiths Falls Police are asking the public to help with the next stage of their investigation into Friday night’s serious pedestrian collision.
Investigators are looking for surveillance, security and dash camera footage from several areas of town that may show the vehicle, the driver or movements before and after the crash.
Police are especially interested in footage from the south ends of Empress Avenue and Sussex Street between 7 and 9 p.m., along with Parkland Court and Rideau Avenue South near Lorne Street between 7:30 and 9 p.m.
They are also seeking video from Daniel Street at Elmsley Street and Ogden Avenue between Beckwith and Daniel from 8 to 10:30 p.m.
Earlier footage is being sought from Kenzington Avenue and Jasper Avenue at Beech Street between 4 and 7 p.m.
The request follows a collision in which two pedestrians were seriously injured. Police say a female driver was arrested about two hours later and is facing several criminal charges.
Anyone with video or information that may help is asked to contact Smiths Falls Police at 613-283-0357.
The charges have not been proven in court.
