Another municipal election is in the books, and voter turnout varied across Lanark County.
The Town of Perth saw a 51.7% turnout, a five percent jump from 2022.
It was a 38% turnout in Smiths Falls, down one percentage point, and a 44.8% turnout in Rideau Lakes, which was a 12% increase from 2022.
Drummond/North Elmsley saw a 32.6% voter turnout in 2026 of their 8,100 eligible voters.
Tay Valley had a near 47% turnout, seeing 2,933 eligible voters cast a ballot.
And in Rideau Lakes, 44.8% of residents voted in their hotly contested election, which saw former Perth Mayor John Fenik take the top job securing nearly three times the vote of second place Paula Banks.
All of these results remain unofficial. At the time of publishing, not every municipality had reported voting turnout percentages.
