We continue our look at each recommendation made by the Culleton, Kuzyk & Warmerdam inquest into ending intimate partner violence (or IPV) in Ontario.
Today we look at no.28 which says the province must review existing training for justice system personnel who are within the purview of the provincial government or police services.
Interval House Executive Director Erin Lee says reviews like this are a part of a larger and very important process.
The ED adds that having the latest information to base that training on will be of paramount importance.
Lee says that how the training is implemented will be very important. She adds that the process needs to make sure that the very latest information is at everyone’s disposal for training.
