“It’s probably going to never catch up.” Lanark County ahead of affordable housing targets but demand continues to outpace supply

Lanark County continues to chip away at the affordable housing crisis.

In a special corporate services committee meeting Monday, June 19th, a status report was presented regarding council’s identified priorities from 2019-2022.

While they’re ahead of their targets, CAO Kurt Greaves knows there’s still a very long road ahead.

Warden Peter McLaren says staff’s doing a great job, but they’re fighting a war he doesn’t think they can win.
