Carbon tax rebates coming today, if you filed taxes on time

Don’t be surprised if you see a little bump in your bank account today.

The first instalment of the 2024 Canada carbon rebate is expected to be deposited in accounts, including here in Ontario.

Those who filed their taxes since March 15th will see their first instalment on May 15th, while those who file after today will have to wait until June or July.

It comes as we’re seeing the increase to the tax raise gas prices across the region.
