Lanarkleedstoday.ca sat down with Carleton Place Mayor Toby Randell who just finished his term as Lanark County Warden to get his views on the events of 2025 from a County perspective.
Toby didn’t shy away from commenting on the economic challenges that many Lanark residents are facing this year.
He pointed to the new HART (Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment) hub, recently opened in Smiths Falls, as a positive step in addressing many issues.
Toby’s term as Warden ended in November and Beckwith Reeve Richard Kidd was acclaimed as the new head of County Council for 2026. You can hear our complete discussion with Toby below.
