Here’s what’s up!
The Smiths Falls Legion is hosting its New Year’s Day Levee today at noon at 7 Main Street East. Doors and the bar open at 12, awards are handed out at 1, with live music, door prizes, and a light meal served at 5. Admission is free.
Also today, the Perth Legion hosts the 32nd annual Polar Bear Plunge fundraiser. Events run from 7 in the morning until noon, with a breakfast available.
The plunge into the Tay River happens at 10 a.m. Proceeds support Perth-Upon-Tay Legion Branch 244 as it marks its 100th anniversary. Registration details are at rcl244.com.
Hey Sens fans — we’re looking for the next SENS Kid!
If there’s a small but mighty hockey fan in your family who lives and breathes the Ottawa Senators, this is their moment. We want kids to tell their story.
To enter, all they have to do is head to our website and upload one of the following:
- A video of themselves cheering on the Sens
- A photo of themselves in full Sens-fan mode
- Or a short note explaining why they want to go see the Sens live
We’ve got three huge games they could be going to: Detroit Red Wings – January 5th (Winner Announced Jan 2) Vancouver Canucks – January 13th – (Winner Announced January 9th) Detroit Red Wings – February 26 – (Winner Announced February 13th)
