Scottish Country Dancers meet every Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at McMartin House, 125 Gore Street East in Perth.
Led by experienced instructor Simone, the group welcomes new dancers of all levels. Dancing is done in soft shoes to lively jigs, reels, and traditional music.
The Smiths Falls Curling & Squash Club is offering a Learn to Curl program starting tomorrow. The four-week course runs Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m., includes equipment, and is open to all skill levels. The cost is $145 plus tax.
St. George’s Anglican Church will host a free community breakfast tomorrow from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, 2786 Tatlock Road. Donations are welcomed but not required. Everyone is invited to attend. More information is available by calling 613-256-9010.
The Beckwith Skating Trail is now open for the season. It’s a 1 km loop at Beckwith Park, found at 1319 9th Line in Beckwith. There are benches to put on your skates to make getting ready easy. Skating is conducive to outdoor conditions which vary, so you’re asked to please Skate to Trail Conditions.
There are a pair of outdoor rinks available for skating in Perth. There’s one at the Fire Hall, at 1881 Rogers Road, and another at Stewart Park. Please use them responsibility.
Carleton Place has three outdoor rinks that are maintained by community volunteers. They can be found at Carleton Junction (42 Moore St.), the Carambeck Community Centre (351 Bridge St), and McNeely Park (24 Alexander St.) If you’re interested in volunteering call (613) 257-1690.
The Gerry Lowe Memorial Rink of Dreams is open in Smiths Falls from 8:00am – 8:00pm daily. You’re asked to please keep off this rink during inclement weather, during ice maintenance and during non-scheduled times. The rink was created in partnership with the Gerry Lowe Foundation and the Sens Foundation.

The Smiths Falls Bears host Rockland tonight in the CCHL. Puck drop is 7:30. The Carleton Place Canadians host Navan tonight and visit Pembroke Sunday.
In the EOJHL, The Perth Blue Wings welcome Athens tonight and visit the Jr. Canadians tomorrow night, who are in Arnprior tonight. Smiths Falls hosts Richmond tomorrow afternoon.
