Christopher Cummings is aiming for the Mayor’s seat in Smiths Falls.
Cummings served on Smiths Falls council from 2006 to 2018, and is the current chair of the CDSBEO.
The former councillor hopes to captain the ship into economic stability with his financial background.
That includes trimming operating costs.
Cummings offered his thoughts on the long-time debate: Should the town remain serviced by the SFPS, or switch to OPP coverage.
Cumming’s launched a survey on his website for residents to weigh in. He represented the town on the Ontario Association of Police Services Board for eight of his 12 years as a councillor.
His full interview will be uploaded shortly.
