A Smiths Falls man is facing a criminal harassment charge following a disturbance at a local group home.
Smiths Falls police said officers received a 911 call on July 2 reporting a disturbance inside the residence.
Police said a staff member feared for their safety.
Officers attended the group home and began an investigation. One person was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
A 63-year-old Smiths Falls man has been charged with criminal harassment involving alleged threatening conduct.
Police said the accused was held in custody pending a bail court hearing.
His name was not released.
The charge has not been proven in court.
