A 40-year-old Smiths Falls resident is facing a charge following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Smiths Falls police said officers received a report of an IPV incident in progress on June 22.
Officers attended the location and began an investigation. Police said the suspect later surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.
The accused has been charged with one count of mischief.
Police said the person was held in custody pending a bail court hearing.
The name of the accused was not released.
The charge has not been proven in court.
