Road construction and infrastructure work will continue on several streets in Carleton Place over this week.
On Napoleon Street, between Wilson and Woodward streets, roadway removals and reinstatement work is ongoing, with asphalt base course paving scheduled for August 13.
Work is also continuing on Sarah Street, between Lake Avenue and Woodward Street, where concrete removals and reinstatement are underway. Asphalt base course paving is also scheduled for August 13.
On another section of Sarah Street, between Arthur and Morris streets, road construction and concrete replacement work remains ongoing.
College Street, between Victoria and Bridge streets, is also undergoing roadway and concrete removals and reinstatement. Asphalt base course paving is scheduled for August 14.
On Frank Street, between Emily Street and the Mississippi River, driveway reinstatements and paving are scheduled for August 20. Landscaping is expected to follow in late September.
The Town says all road work at the Rosamond Street OVRT crossing is complete, with line painting planned for the fall.
At the Public Works Yard at 97 Franklin Street, the Town is awaiting delivery of a new salt shed structure in early August.
Landscaping reinstatement on completed streets will not take place until September to avoid the summer heat.
The Town is asking residents to use alternative routes around active construction zones where possible. Drivers who must travel through the areas are asked to slow down and follow directions from flag crews and posted signs.
