Lanark County OPP have charged a Stittsville man following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault in Beckwith Township.
Police began investigating July 11 after receiving allegations connected to an incident that reportedly occurred at a local business in April.
As a result of the investigation, 53-year-old Jeremy Finn was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
The accused was released from custody and is expected to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
The Lanark County Crime Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
The charge has not been proven in court.
Police are also reminding survivors that support is available. Anyone in immediate danger should call 911.
