The Glen Tay Block Fest race takes place Aug. 27, beginning and ending on Gore Street in front of the Perth Museum. The 14.7-kilometre course features awards across several age categories, with commemorative pennants and certificates available for participants.

Smiths Falls Ribfest returns to Centennial Park from Aug. 28 to 30. The three-day festival features award-winning ribbers, live entertainment, a beer garden, a maker’s market and family activities along the Rideau waterfront.
