Vicki Lowe is the current Ramsay Ward Councillor in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. She’s running for a second consecutive term and says her reasons are very straighforward.
Her professional background includes financial management, administration, governance and organizational leadership — experience she applies at the council table.
She believes strongly in responsible long-term financial planning and in considering the future impacts of municipal decisions, not just their immediate costs.
Throughout her time on council, Lowe has worked to understand complex issues from different perspectives, ask relevant questions and explain her decisions clearly to residents.
She believes good municipal government means listening carefully, considering the evidence and balancing community needs with financial responsibility. She feels her approach is a great match for this goal.
As Ramsay’s representative, Lowe is committed to strong rural communities, protecting agricultural land and supporting the farmers who are an important part of Mississippi Mills. She also understands that reliable rural roads are one of the most important municipal services residents depend on every day.
Maintaining and improving our road network, while making responsible decisions about where and how rural development occurs, must remain a priority.
Lowe believes growth should strengthen our community without placing unnecessary costs on existing taxpayers, infrastructure, farmland or the rural way of life.
