BK (Centre) with the Trews
Smiths Falls is set for a full day of live music tomorrow, with The Trews headlining the Downtown Smiths Falls Music Festival.
The band takes the 19-plus Millar Brooke Place Stage at 8 p.m. John Angus MacDonald says this summer has kept The Trews moving through a steady festival schedule.
The band has also learned how to measure when the pace is working.
The interview also turned to Highway of Heroes, the Trews song inspired by Canada’s military involvement in Afghanistan.
Tomorrow’s festival begins with free, all-ages performances on Russell Street East at 12:30 p.m., featuring Ambre McLean, Spencer Scharf, DaNielle Hewitt and Landon Bedor.
The ticketed evening show starts at 4:45 p.m. with One Eyed Dawgs, followed by Vicki Brittle at 6:30 and The Trews at 8.
Tickets remain available online and at three Smiths Falls businesses while quantities last.
