Smiths Falls voters will have two opportunities to hear directly from candidates before the 2026 municipal election.
The Rotary Club of Smiths Falls is hosting separate all-candidates nights for the mayoral and council races at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95.
The mayoral event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Lancaster Room.
According to the town’s current election page, three candidates are running for mayor: Nate Morris, Christopher G. Cummings and Peter McKenna.
The councillor candidates will take their turn one week later, Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
The town currently lists 15 candidates seeking council seats.
The two evenings will give residents a chance to hear from the people seeking to represent them before ballots are cast.
Voting day is Monday, Oct. 26, with Smiths Falls using internet and telephone voting for the municipal election.
