A 41-year-old Rideau Lakes man has been charged following a dispute at a residence in the township.
Leeds County OPP investigated the incident, in which the victim suffered minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the man was charged with robbery with violence, assault causing bodily harm by choking, suffocating or strangling, theft under $5,000 and driving while under suspension.
Police have not released details about when the incident occurred or what led to the dispute.
The identity of the accused has not been released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
The charges have not been proven in court.
