A 27-year-old Drummond-North Elmsley resident has been charged after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 7 near Perth.
Lanark County OPP received the complaint shortly before 5:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25.
Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the male driver, who was subsequently arrested.
As a result of the investigation, Connor Arsenault, 27, was charged with failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
Police say the accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Nov. 9.
His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days under an Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension.
The vehicle was also impounded for seven days.
The charge has not been proven in court.
