Smiths Falls schools and families came through in a big way for this year’s Stuff a Cruiser campaign.
The annual food drive collected 2,917 pounds of food, with donations coming from students, families and the wider community.
Participating schools included St. Francis de Sales Catholic School, Chimo Elementary School, Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute, St. Luke Catholic High School and Duncan J. Schoular Public School.
The Smiths Falls Police Service also played a major role in helping organize and carry out the event.
All food collected through the campaign is going to the Smiths Falls Community Food Bank, helping support local individuals and families who need a hand.
Organizers described the day as busy but successful, with the campaign running smoothly from start to finish.
