Drummond Ward candidate Chris Evans says he wants to bring a younger generation’s perspective to Drummond/North Elmsley council while keeping local rural values front and centre.
Evans is one of four certified candidates seeking two councillor seats in Drummond Ward in this year’s municipal election. election.dnetownship.ca
Running under the slogan “Rooted Here. Building the Future,” Evans says his campaign is shaped by his own ties to the township.
He owns Evans Carpentry, raises Registered Black Angus cattle and is raising his family in the community.
Evans says those experiences give him a first-hand understanding of the pressures facing local families, farmers and small business owners.
His campaign is focused on listening to residents, taking a practical approach to municipal decisions and planning for the future without losing the rural traditions and agricultural roots that define the township.
Evans says he wants residents to stay engaged in the campaign and make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Drummond/North Elmsley voters can cast ballots online or by telephone from Oct. 19 through Oct. 26.
