The Town of Perth has lowered flags at Town Hall and the Fire Hall to half-mast in honour of soldiers who died following an incident at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta.
In a statement, Perth council extended its condolences to the families, friends and fellow service members of those who lost their lives.
The town also expressed support for injured soldiers, their loved ones and the wider Canadian Armed Forces community as they deal with the loss.
The gesture honours those affected by the incident and recognizes the impact on military members and their families.
