The Mississippi River Health Alliance have launched their Epic digital record system, transitioning patients records and medical history to the popular MyChart App.
That means patients of the Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital will not have to repeat tests should their journey be sent to the city, which is a very common occurence according to Vice President of Patient & Resident Services and Chief Nursing Executive Lianne Learmonth.
It’s all in a bid to save time for everyone involved, according to Learmonth.
Six other hospitals launched Epic at the same time forming the Atlas Alliance, including Queensway Carleton and The Royal.
There’s now 18 hospitals across the shared platform.
