Learning from one another: Culture Connect underway in Lanark and Renfrew Counties

Local Immigration Partnership Lanark and Renfrew’s Culture Connect, a month-long celebration of diversity and culture, is now underway.

Manager of the LIP Jodi Bucholtz tells Lake 88 the idea is to bring people together across our region to learn from one another.

Residents will be able to take part in activities like Book Bingo and Culture & Diversity Word Walks, and a Community Read Event culminating in a meeting on June 29^th, among many others.

There are also opportunities to learn about Indigenous culture through an Indigenous Comedy Show, you can take part in the Middle East Cane Dance lessons, and much more.

Bucholtz says it’s a chance to learn about each other, from each other.
