Monday is a holiday, so that means not everything is open for business as usual.
All levels of government are closed for the day. So if you need to do any municipal business, get your health card renewed, or do anything at the federal level, you’ll have to wait until Tuesday.
The Health Unit is also closed, but you can reach them at 613-345-5685 in the event of a public health emergency.
Most grocery stores will be open on the holiday, but some are running on reduced hours. At least one pharmacy should be open in each municipality too.
Beer and Liquor stores vary by community. Agency stores like those on highway 7 and in Rideau Ferry will be open.
As for restaurants and bars, that will vary from town-to-town so you may have to take a little drive or walk if you’re looking to eat out or pop by a patio for a drink.
