News affects our daily lives, whether from local media sources or national broadcasters. We are constantly bombarded with stories and clips from a wide variety of sources; some can be trusted, and some need to be viewed with a critical eye.
Sarah Gillingwater, the owner-publisher of the Westport Review Mirror weekly newspaper believes there will still be a place for print media news in our lives going forward.
She, like many, finds the internet can be overwhelming in its volume of news, with most of it being irrelevant to local interests.
But she feels that social media has a place beside traditional news and in the New Year, she’s looking forward to improving and developing that relationship.
The Review Mirror traces its roots back to 1893 when the Westport Mirror was first published. It can be found in many retailers in Athens, Delta, Elgin, Lyndhurst, Newboro, Perth, Portland, Seeley’s Bay, and Westport and is also available by subscription in those areas.
