The Wingham Ironmen opened the PJHL regular season with a 6-2 victory over the defending Pollock champs, the Mount Forest Patriots on Friday night.
Tyson Koopman had a hat trick and finished with 4 points for the Ironmen, and says he is happy with the way the team played last night.
Elsewhere, the Hanover Barons climbed back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the visiting Kincardine Bulldogs 4-3.
The Mitchell Hawks built a 5-0 lead and hung on for a 5-1 victory over the Walkerton Hawks.
