The Grey Bruce Health Unit is teaming up with area hospitals in hosting flu shot clinics.
South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Grey Bruce Health Services, and the Hanover and District Hospital are holding one-day clinics next week.
Manager of the Vaccine Preventable Diseases Program for the health unit Sarah Ellis says this collaboration involving 11 hospital sites has never been done before.
Ellis says this was an excellent opportunity for the health unit to partner with these hospitals to promote the importance of people getting the flu vaccine.
She says anyone 6 months of age and older should get the flu shot.
Here is a list of where flu shot clinics are taking place. All run from 4 PM to 6 PM:
Monday November 4th: Owen Sound (main lobby), Durham (link between hospital and clinic)
Tuesday November 5th: Chesley (boardroom), Kincardine (cafeteria), Meaford (front lobby)
Wednesday November 6th: Walkerton (medical clinic entrance), Southampton (front waiting room/procedure room B), Lion’s Head (lab)
Thursday November 7th: Hanover (front foyer), Wiarton (classroom), Markdale (ultrasound area)
