The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association announced that they have planned a second one-day, province-wide walkout, set for next week.
The union, which includes staff from the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board and Huron Perth Catholic District School Board, will walkout next Tuesday.
This is in addition to the strikes announced yesterday by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario.
OECTA President Liz Stuart says in a news release that Ontarians are growing impatient with these negotiations and is frankly sharing their frustration.
Stuart went on to say strike action is tough on everyone, but it is a sacrifice that they need to make in order to protect what they have built in the face of government cuts
Catholic teachers previously engaged in a full withdrawal of services on January 21st.
