A South Bruce resident has been charged with attempted murder and other criminal charges.
At approximately 2:13 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department responded to London Road and Josephine Street North after receiving information about a pedestrian that had been struck by a pickup truck that failed to remain at the scene.
The adult victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital and was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Vincent Fitzsimons, 40, has been charged with attempted murder, dangerous operation causing bodily harm and failure to stop after an accident causing bodily harm.
The accused remains in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for March 16.
