As students get set wrap up another school year, one administrator will be putting away her pencil and paper after nearly four decades in the education sector.
Bluewater District School Board Director of Education Alanna Murray will be leaving her position at the end of August.
Murray started out as a teacher at Chesley District High School in 1982.
She later became a department head, vice-principal, and principal at schools in Grey Bruce before working at the school board in 2002.
Murray believes her success was due to the positive responses coming from students and peers.
Murray says she started when computers were just being introduced to the classroom.
She says it gave students the ability to explore the world without having to leave the classroom.
