OPP baffled at the number of motorists speeding along Highway 6 corridor

Grey Bruce OPP are asking motorists speeding along Hwy. 6 north of Wiarton if getting to your destination five to 10 minutes sooner is worth several thousand dollars in expenses.

Media relations officer Adam Belanger advises you will be out of pocket that amount of money if you are caught stunt driving – 50 km/h or more over the posted speed limit – as has been the case with dozens of infractions so far this year.

Belanger adds, over the past three years over 50 percent of the motorists stopped for stunt driving in the Grey Bruce OPP detachment area are from the Greater Toronto Area.
