The Fitness Centre at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex is reopening on Tuesday August 4th.
They have implemented a number of procedures and changes to meet the province’s size restrictions and physical distancing requirements.
Some of those changes include: visit reservations, no change rooms, multiple hand sanitizing stations and participant screening upon arrival.
All other parts of the North Huron Wescast Community Complex will remain closed.
They are planning a staged re-opening for the fall.
The following procedures and changes will be implemented:
– fitness equipment has been moved and relocated to different areas of the facility to allow for physical distancing.
– users will have to reserve a timeslot for their workout or participation in classes prior to arrival.
– Day pass usage will not be available.
– All participants need to arrived dressed and ready as the changerooms will remain closed.
– Hand sanitizing stations have been established throughout the facility.
-Participants will be screened upon arrival.
In a statement from staff at the complex they say “visitors can expect an altered experience compared to pre COVID-19 operations.”
They go on to say the Township is confident that these necessary changes will allow participants to enjoy North Huron’s Fitness Centre in a safe and cautious manner.
